What is quickfreedom for to jailbreak iPod touch? And how do you jailbreak for free?

I am getting an iPod touch 32gb for my christmas and I want to jailbreak it as I have heard that you can get free movies, games, music, etc. I heard about quickfreedom to do it. What is quickfreedom? And hw does it work? Also, is it safe, and does it work? I want a free, easy way of jailbreaking my new iPod, and if you have any other ways of doing this, please let me know.

you go to the QF website and download a program which will when connected to your computer via USB cable change the settings aka jailbreak your ipod touch.

Ok Quickfreedom only works for version 2.2.1 firmware, and if your getting it at christmas it will definately not have this firmware. So you will need to use another program e.g redsn0w or purplera1n to jailbreak. Jailbreaking is mainly safe but does have a few risks involved. One downside is that jailbreaking will void your warranty.

If you are a mac user a program called pwnage tool will let you jailbreak your ipod.

If you use windows you can use a program called Blackra1n, or by Christmas something called greenpois0n.

Christ… OK, download and install quickfreedom.
connect ipod.
follow instructions on screen to put in DFU mode.
click jailbreak.
wait, then enjoy.
of course, it all depends on your firmware. do u have skype? add Sadangeboy so we can talk about this. When you jailbreak you get an app called cydia, which is the ‘hub’ of jailbroken apps. Here you get apps TO get free app store apps, and stuff like that. a tutorial by me how to get free apps:

you can also hack games, enjoy browsing your iPods file system, and much much more.

Note: If you are getting it at christmas, chances are it’ll be a 3g. As yet, these are not jailbreakable, due to an updated baseband. Don’t understand? follow the iPhone Dev Team. just google them and go to their blog. They will release a jailbreak soon.
